This workshop is for you! Learn all about the different Web 2.0 tools.
The emphasis will be on how they are used in an educational setting.
Invigorate your classroom by using these tools to engage and encourage

see how you can integrate these tools into the learning environment.

- Brainstorming activity: State ways in which you have been making use of the computer in your professional lives. Use sync.in (Allows real-time collaboration)
Point out to lecturers that they have already been using technology in their practice, but that there were Web 2.0 tools and applications to enhance all of them and widen dimensions:
- Presenting info - beyond Power Point
- Sharing info - web site, forum, email, cd / dvd
- Collaborating - brainstorming, shared documents

- Open a MS Word document.
- Insert Page Numbering
- Create a banner in Word Art.
- Contents of your document:
- State content and objectives of your page.
- Use numbering and bullets to order your information
- Experiment with fonts, colours, bold and italics
- Insert an appropriate clip-art clip.
- Give your document a title
- Save your document.
- Use Image Search. Introduce sites for open source materials.
- Use a series of annotated graphics to create a brief tutorial.
- Insert into Word document that you have saved. (print screen and paint app)
- Identify three relevant links.
- Bookmark the links.
- Open one of the links. Use printliminator.com to edit page for printing
- Make tracks with the links (krunchd.com, jogtheweb.com). Save on-line. Bookmark link.
- Document material for citation
- Create a crossword puzzle and key. Capture, copy and insert
- Create citation (citationmachine.net, bibme.org, easybib.com)
- Give a brief oral account of the new skills that you have acquired during the process of preparing this document.
